The teaching of this department adopts the method of emphasizing both theoretical teaching and practical training.
In terms of professional courses, in addition to the practical courses offered by the professors of this department, managers of the industry’s customer service, housekeeping, catering, kitchen, administration, marketing and other businesses are also hired to teach, so that students can understand the actual business conditions and the latest information in the industry ;
In terms of practical training, the school has the largest intern hotel in Taiwan (48 rooms) for students to learn and operate in hotel practice. In the 1995 academic year, they completed the catering service and culinary professional laboratory, and the 96 academic year completed the internship restaurant. It provides students with catering services, cooking skills and professional certificate training, and has achieved the goal of cultivating talents in all-round catering services.
